Today! For a few hours, today, I mean Dec. 20 the moon will be in the shadow of our planet, Earth. Yep, you heard it folks, we are talking here about a total lunar eclipse. Unlike those of the sun, where the totality of the eclipse can be seen only in certain parts of the planet, the total lunar eclipse can be seen from anywhere. Of course, if no clouds get in the way.
The total phase of the upcoming event will be visible across all of North and South America, as well as the northern and western part of Europe, and a small part of northeast Asia, including Korea and much of Japan.
A small scallop of darkness will begin to appear on the moon's left edge at 6:33 UT (on Dec. 21) corresponding to 1:33 a.m. EST or 10:33 p.m. PST (on Dec. 20).
So keep your eyes peeled for some spectacular scene tonight [it might be red-colored in some places]

John Lennon - Still alive..
..in our hearts. Thirty years ago, in this very day, John Lennon was shot four times outside his apartment in New York by someone whose name I do not wish to mention here.
Thirty years ago, the man who encouraged and practically led the peace movement, was taken from us. An artist who wanted to change the whole world with nothing but words and ambition, but he did not realize he couldn't do as much as he wanted in too few years. And so, by trying hard and being persistent, people saw him as a visionary [which he was] and a great man who let us with some ideas to follow and the image of his struggle to stop the Vietnam War.
"Imagine", he said; imagine a peaceful world, where no possession counts, where humans are equals. Imagine he was still alive to celebrate his birthday, composing and singing to us.
Long live John.

Coloured Strings
Glasgow-based guitar teacher Wendy Leckerman has developed a new range of coloured guitar strings that can be used as teacjing/learning aid for those with visual problems. Or you can use them just because your guitar will look nice. Wendy's Strings, as the products have been named, are handmade in the US and specially coated in bright colours to make them stand out clearly from the fretboard. Leckerman, who has been teaching for 20 years, developed the system to help her tutor children and people with special needs, both of which are areas she specialises in.

Jocuri/Games
In ultimele doua zile m-am tot jucat un joc care se numeste Starcraft 2 [Wings of Liberty]. Foarte important cum se numeste pentru ca are numai misiuni cu rasa terran [adica oameni] si vreo 2-3 cu protoss. Se pare ca se vor mai lansa inca doua patch-uri sau capitole, in fine: "Heart of the Swarm" si "Legacy of the Void". Primul e cu zerg si al doilea cu protoss. Din cate stiu, nu exista release date pentru niciuna dintre cele doua dar, majoritatea sunt de parere ca vor iesi amndoua [sau doar misiunile cu zerg] candva pe la sfarsitul anului, de craciun, de anul nou, cine stie >:D.
Pana atunci ne putem delecta cu Wings of Liberty. Terran este acum o rasa mult mai puternica decat in Starcraft 1. Nu mi-a placut niciodata sa joc cu ei dat fiind faptul ca mi se pareau slabi dar acum, rasele sunt mult mai echilibrate si e foarte bine cu oricare dintre ele mai ales ca trebuie sa ai ceva tactica cand joci: imi place ca anumite unitati sunt bune versus altele din cealalta rasa. ex: Marauder face prapad printre liniile de Stalker sau Banshee care distruge orice merge sau se taraste pe pamant. Absolut orice, pana si cladiri.
L-am terminat in doua zile, iar un jucator mai bun l-ar fi terminat si mai repede. Dar mi s-a parut destul de plin si foarte interesant. E ca si in campaign-u de la warcraft, dar cu grafica mai buna si mult mai complex. Suntdoua trei parti in joc unde trebuie sa alegi, si evident ca ai avantaje si dezavantaje si s-ar putea sa se schimbe niste misiuni; o sa joc si alegand altceva, sa vedem cum iese :> [ Spoiler: sfatul meu e ca la sfarsit sa alegeti sa distrugeti pasaroaiele. ]
Recomand acest joc .. oricui defapt, chiar si celor carora nu prea le plac RTS-urile. Duceti-va si cumparati-l :D merita.

Untill then we have to be pleased with Wings of Liberty. Terran is now a more powerful race than in Starcraft 1. I never like playing with them because of this but, now all races are more balanced. Sure this time a large army won't do any good if you don't know how to wisely use your units. Few, but powerful can do a lot of damage to your enemy: Marauder is very effective against Stalkers and Banshee kills everything that walks or crawls on the face of the planet; and buildings of course etc.
I finished it in two days while an experienced player could have reached the credits in less time. I found the game quite full and interesting. It looks pretty much like Warcraft in the campaign, but better graphic and more complex. There are three turning points in the game where you have to take sides and of course you have advantages and disadvantages and it's possible some missions will change; I'll play choosing something else to see how it all ends :D [ Spoiler: My advice is, near the end, kill the birdies ]
I recomend this game to ... everyone in fact, even to those who don't usually play RTS. It's worth every penny.

Ca si restul populatiei de oameni cu acces la internet si mult timp liber, mi-am facut blog.

Ei bine nu stiu sigur; presimt totusi ca nu va rezista mult, pentru ca ma plictisesc repede si nici nu stiu ce as putea posta ca sa tin lumea interesata. Dar voi incerca, o luna, doua poate chiar trei.
Sa vad ca poate va iesi ceva frumos.
